Branch’s Year in Review – 2015

As 2015 draws to an end, we wanted to pause and reflect on the amazing year we are leaving behind. It’s almost incredible that a year ago we were a tiny startup with nine employees and less than a hundred apps using us. But we had a big vision – to help apps grow and be discovered though better mobile linking.

A year later, I can’t help but be humbled by what we have all achieved together. We’re a growing group, with a team of 50 Branchsters and a growing global community of mobile app developers. Branch links now power better experiences in over 5,000 apps on more than a billion devices. Together, we’ve built a mobile growth community from one meetup in San Francisco to 10,000 members in over 30 cities around the world, from Mumbai to Tel Aviv, Bucharest, São Paulo and beyond.

So, at the end of 2015, what we feel the most is gratitude. We are grateful for lessons we learned from our amazing partners, for the feedback we received that helped us make our product better, and for the times as we were scaling that our partners were forgiving of our mistakes. We are incredibly appreciative for all the contributions to our open source SDK that make our code base better and for the questions answered on Stack Overflow. We’re beyond thankful for the amazing speakers who came to our meetups and shared their wisdom with others and for those who exchanged ideas on Facebook and Medium.

As the year came to a close, we thought of ways to celebrate our partners. We’re going to print this photomosaic and hang it in our office. Our designer Natali painted these branches, and we used the logos of our existing partners to create this.

We hope you like it as much as we do. We can’t wait to see what you build in 2016!
